What is Corner Stone? 

Corner Stone is a YMCA of the North Shore initiative to support cancer survivors and their families with a complimentary year of membership and other supportive programs and services.

Do I qualify for a Corner Stone Membership?

You qualify for a complimentary year of membership if either of these describes you:

• You or an immediate family member have been diagnosed with cancer in the last 5 years

• You have lost an immediate family member due to cancer in the last year
  
  

Who can be included on my Corner Stone Membership?

You are welcome to include immediate family members and/or those who share your household or provide significant care for the cancer survivor in your home, up to 3 adults and as many children as reside in the home.

What kinds of programs are available to me?

• Complimentary member benefits

• Group exercise classes 

• Livestrong

• Member pricing on fee-based programs and personal training

How will I know when classes and open swim times are available?

Visit www.northshoreymca.org/schedules and filter to your preferred Y location. We’re happy to share some recommended gentle classes if you’re looking for something in particular. You can also download our mobile app to scan in easily with your phone, access schedules, receive facility update alerts, track workouts, and more! In the app store, search “North Shore YMCA,” download the app, and set up your account using your scan tag barcode.

What if I can’t afford a fee-based program for myself or my family?

We welcome Corner Stone members to apply for flexible pricing on programs! Families making up to $140,000 per year will receive a customized price reduction to ensure that Y programs are affordable for every budget.

Do you have any childcare support?

Yes! We provide support for kids in several ways:

• Kids Club - drop-in, complimentary service for use while a parent or guardian is in the facility.

• Medical Appointment Care - pre-scheduled care for your child(ren) while you attend a medical appointment; provided in either Kids Club or the Early Learning Center, according to need and availability. Let us know if you’re interested so we can get you enrolled in advance! We need 24 hours notice to accommodate scheduling requests.

• Summer Camp - each Corner Stone family is encouraged to take advantage of a complimentary week of summer camp for each child in your household!

• Early Education/School Age - Corner Stone families are of course welcome to enroll in our Infant/Toddler Care, Preschool, and School Age childcare programs, and childcare flexible pricing is currently available for families making up to $80,000 annually.
